| What does "Certified Organic" mean? |
When foods are labeled “organic”, it simply means that it was produced the old-fashioned, all-natural way- without the use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers. In addition, no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives are allowed in the production of these foods. There is nothing to get in the way of the delicious flavor of our gourmet, beautiful cookies. Eating organic foods will minimize your exposure to toxic chemicals, which have been proven to cause diseases like cancer, diabetes, and other deadly illnesses. Growing food organically also minimizes the amount of poisonous chemicals that leach into our water supply and poison our soil. This not only improves the flavor of your food- it also preserves the earth for your children and grandchildren.
"Certified Organic" means that all Beautiful Sweets products are made according to the USDA's strict national organic standards. Baystate Organic Certifiers, a USDA certifying agent, monitors all products we use in our factory, from eggs to soap, to make sure we comply with the strict national standards. We are inspected by an independent USDA inspector for all practices and procedures, and a further in depth look at all record keeping to insure compliance with federal standards.

| Will our cookies be different? |

Butter is butter, flour is flour, sugar is sugar. The only difference is that there are no chemicals polluting your food. Our cookies are real- real delicious and real beautiful.

| Our cookies are "All Natural" |
|
Beautiful Sweets uses all natural, high-quality organic ingredients, produced in harmony with nature. No artificial ingredients are needed for our wonderful cookies. We feel that, if you can’t pronounce an ingredient, or if an ingredient sounds like it belongs in a chemistry lab, you probably shouldn’t eat it. There are enough chemicals and toxins around us daily that we don’t need to eat them as well.

| Why did we choose to "go" Organic? |
|
Why not? We love our planet. Lee Anne and Jeff have eaten organically for years and hope that they can teach others about how good it feels (and tastes) to be organic. Being organic means our products are made with ingredients produced with minimal impact to the earth. Farms that produce organically don’t ruin the soil- they actually improve it. Since we have a choice, we choose to produce our cookies organically, as it creates a better world to live in.

| What is a "Green" company? |

A Green company helps reduce energy consumption, environmental impact, and depletion of natural resources. From organic production, to recycling, to conserving energy (turning off unnecessary lights, etc), Beautiful Sweets believes in using only what is needed and minimizes the use of packaging that cannot be recycled. We’ve even used paint that has a low amount of toxic components when we opened our factory space. Every day we try to improve our procedures and practices so that we consume less resources and cause less pollution.
